The primary objective was to construct a concrete box culvert to accommodate for the stream at Samusu. This culvert is to enhance the climate resilience within the Samusu community by reducing flooding and environmental impacts brought about by changes in weather patterns causing heavy flooding.
This project is under the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) and is funded by the World Bank through the Climate Investment Fund (CIF). The LTA issued a request for the proposed project and the project was awarded to King’s Construction. The timeframe for the works to be done is 6 months, which started progress in June 2019 and is set to be completed and opened to the public by the end of October 2019. The total amount of the construction for the entire project amounted up to $740,000.00 (SAT).
