The construction of the Vaisigano Bridge commenced in 2018. The project is funded by the Japanese International Co-operation Agency (JICA) under a grant agreement with Samoa. Once in place, the bridge is expected to provide a secure, safe access for Samoa thereby contributing to strengthening the transport capacity within the country.
The project is expected to be completed in early 2021.
