INVITATION FOR BIDS ……. UPGRADE OF ROAD AND DRAINAGE ALONG VAIPUNA ROAD CONTRACT NO.: 13-2019/20-LTA-U-MAJ

The Land Transport Authority (“LTA”) acting on behalf of the Independent Government State of Samoa hereby invites pre-qualified Upolu Civil Works Contractors to submit bids for the Upgrade of Road and Drainage along Vaipuna Road – Intersection; Contract No.: 13-2019/20-LTA-U-MAJ

 

Kindly be informed that;

 

1. Only the Contractors that have been successfully registered under Category A in Upolu are eligible to submit bids.

 

2. Tender documents can be uplifted for a non-refundable fee of SAT$250.00 from the Procurement & Programming Division, LTA Compound, Vaitele starting from 2pm on Monday, 24^th February 2020.

 

3. A pre-bid meeting to convey information on this work will be held at the Vaitele Office, (Venue – Procurement and Programming Conference Room) at 11am, Thursday 27^th February 2020.

 

4. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form and amount specified in the bidding document, and must be delivered to the Office of the Secretary of the Tenders Board, Ministry of Finance, Level 4, Apia, at or before 11:00am on Monday 9^th March, 2020. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter. Late bids will not be accepted.

ADDENDUM NO. 1

 

TO: PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS – UPGRADE OF ROAD AND DRAINAGE ALONG VAIPUNA ROAD

RE: UPGRADE OF ROAD AND DRAINAGE ALONG VAIPUNA ROAD  

CONTRACT NO.: 13-2019/20-LTA-U-MAJ

 

Pursuant to Clause 10 of the Instructions to Bidders (“ITB”), the Authority hereby issue this Addendum No. 1 for amendments to the Eligibility, Bid Submission Closing Date and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in the tender document for the above contract.

 

The following amendments have been made:

1. Contractors registered under the Authority Civil Works for Upolu Category B are now eligible to submit bids for this tender process.
2. The deadline for bid submission is now extended to Monday, 16^th March, 2020 instead of the 9^th of March 2020 as been stipulated and scheduled for in the original tender document.
3. Addition of item 5.13 and item 5.14 to the Bill of Quantities. The amendments are incorporated in the attached BOQ and should therefore be used in the preparation of bid; thus disregarding the BOQ initially given in the tender document.

 

Kindly be advised that the Authority on the issuance of this addendum holds no responsibility should a bidder fails to use the correct Bill of Quantities, meet the new deadline and to recognize its eligibility. Moreover, a second pre-bid meeting to convey information to all bidders will be held at the Authority Office – Procurement and Programming Division, Conference Room on Wednesday 4^th of March 2020 at 10 am.
